Her work explores the blurred edges of reality, the mystical in the everyday, and shifting notions of self. Influenced by the occult, the uncanny, and contemporary takes on ‘new age’ philosophies. She works across film, music, and immersive installations and events to create moments of magic and reflection.
Her short film Aperture (2014) won Best Super 8 Film at the Revelation Film Festival, and her band Spice World was featured in Rolling Stone’s "25 Best Australian Albums of 2023."
Julia completed her Bachelor of Arts (Fine Arts) at the University of Western Australia in Perth and Sciences Po, Paris.
She currently lives in Melbourne (Naarm), Australia.
